  1. I love this item. I had one for baby food many years ago. I ordered it because my food processor is too large for most jobs and the food flies to the sides of the container and doesn’t get cut. And the food processor is heavy. This cute gizmo can stay on the counter as it is small. Like it for chopping onions. They get smaller than humanly possible and no crying. I have also ground peanuts and walnuts for decorating a cake. I don’t have any such issues, but I would recommend this for a person who has problems with the hands or is elderly and would rather not chop by hand. I do roughly cut the items before putting them in there. Definitely affordable. I couldn’t find one of these in target. If they sold them, non one would invest in the larger, more expensive machines. Does not grind finely as the flat blade attachment on the bullets or coffee grinders. It is really a chopper, not a grinder.

  2. I ordered and received my product through Amazon Prime. (Can I say that Amazon Prime is the best!) Ok back to the product. I used it right away. I washed it with hot sudsy water and after that I used it to chop some onions, kale, cabbage and sweet potatoes. It’s size had me fooled, it has a powerful punch to it and got the job done the way I needed it to do for my soup. The time it would have taken me to chop all that the mini chopper did in less than 10 minutes. Now let me just say it is a mini chopper so therefore you have to pre-cut your veggies, fruits etc. before putting them in the mini chopper which the instructions clearly states. Since it is only me that I am cooking for I didn’t want a big food chopper so the servings are great for one person not a family. This review is based of one time using it but believe me I have a lot of plans for this mini chopper and will see if it can stand the test of time and pass the longevity test. So as of right now I am a pleased customer both with the product and Amazon Prime shipping.

  3. I love this little chopper. I had one of these for more than 15 years and used it all of the time. Then I dropped the lid on the floor and accidently stepped on it smashing it to pieces. I immediately signed onto Amazon and bought another just like my faithful friend. It’s perfect for making small batches of salsa, chopping veggies, and spices like basil leaves and cilantro. It’s solidly made. Just don’t step on the lid.

  4. Fantastic! Enables fast processing in 20 min of amazing salsas. Because of this I eat salsa all the time.Quick recipe:3-4 Tomatoes, cut in half placed face down on max heat skillet, blacken then flip and blacken – this essentially stews the tomato’s through (alternative is boiling whole)1 small onion cut in half same as above.Jalapeno or Serrano cut in half, blacken as above but for less timeDehydrated chilies, toast on high heat skillet for 15 seconds, flip, then hydrate in hot water(I just pour water in the hot pan and tilt the skillet)Combine tomatoes, onion, peppers, & hydrated chili with chopped cilantro/coriander, 1/2 squeezed lime, and a little salt in salsa maker and blend until fine chunky consistency. Serve and enjoy.

  5. This is my second purchase of the model food chopper. I ruined my first by trying to chop too large of frozen fruit. Regardless, great little device. Use almost every day to chop walnuts, almonds, pecans, frozen pinapple, mango, strawberries, peaches, etc. It is fairly robust and durable, but if you drop it on the floor it can crack/break. The 1.5 cup capacity is perfect for what we use it for and clean up is very easy. Hope this helps.

  6. So much easier to use than the push hand chopper Has the same issues as the hand copper, pieces caught on the outside of the container, don’t get chopped. So it’s buzz, buzz, buzz, stir, buzz, buzz, buzz, stir, around 5-6 times to chop up a half of a green pepper (still go some slivers 1/2-1″ long). Maybe I should try smaller portions, but I’ve been doing half onions/peppers, etc at a time. No problem with the power of the thing. Does great. Still better than the hand press chopper! EASY to clean as well and dishwasher safe (top shelf).
